About Planting on Demand

Planting on Demand offers you the most direct tree planting experience possible, all from the convenience of your home or office — possibly besides doing it yourself. Inspired by the old-fashioned and not seldomly colonial approaches in this domain, Sandeep Roy Choudhury (founder of VNV Advisory) and René Post (founder of The Green Web Foundation) founded this new service. Every month, we will plant 25 agroforestry trees per subscriber, and pay the planting partner USD 0.90 for each tree planted. In case that is too much, our partners will spend the remaining funds wisely, on other climate mitigation projects, like solar panels, improved cookstoves, biochar installations etc.

If you subscribe today, you'll be invited to live planting sessions performed by one of our planting partners in India, Tanzania, or Timor-Leste. In the Zoom-calls, you'll be able to speak with the planters and meet other subscribers. You are allowed to make screenshots and share those on your channels, company newsletters and in other ways.

Financial transparency

Planting on Demand will publish monthly reports about our income & spending, that will be controlled by a reputable accountant. Where other tree-planting go as low as spending 2-3% of their income on actual planting, Planting on Demand will hit the 90% mark, month after month. We work with a part-time student team to keep the overhead as low as possible, meet the team here.
